Balan Biomedical Appoints Michael Pyszczek as VP of Technology - Wednesday, November 01, 2006


Balan Biomedical announced today the appointment of Mr. Michael F. Pyszczek to the position of Vice President of Technology. His primary responsibilities will include development of strategic goals and initiatives for the Balan engineering division. “We are pleased to bring a scientist of Mike’s caliber to the Balan team” said Elisabeth Hager, MD, Chairman and CEO of Balan.

Mr. Pyszczek has a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and an MS in business management. He has served the corporate research departments of Honeywell and Greatbatch Inc. as a senior scientist. While at Greatbatch, he also led the new product development group of the Electrochemical Battery Division, and the chemical manufacturing department for the medical product group. He previously held the position of Director of Power Source Development for GentCorp Ltd. Mr. Pyszczek has been granted 12 US patents and has published over 20 papers in the fields of electrochemistry and power source design.

Balan Biomedical Inc. has moved its headquarters to the Lennox Technology Enterprise Center (TEC), located at 150 Lucius Gordon Drive, in West Henrietta, NY. “We are excited to be among the innovative companies collocated at the Lennox Tech Center,” said Elisabeth Hager, MD, Chairman and CEO of Balan. “Our mission is to provide high quality transdisciplinary information to optimize decision support for new product development in the medical device and consumer health industries. Balan Biomedical Inc. announced the  launch two new networks for Medical Professionals and Patients.
